Panicum maximum cv. Mombasa

Mombasa, also known as White Buffalo / Witbuffel / Wit Buffel, is a leafy tropical perennial forage grass with tussocks. It can be consumed by cattle, horses, sheep and goats. Mombasa has thicker stems than Tanzania and should always be grazed green.  Mombasa must be intensively grazed during the rainy season, when its growth is the most intense and its nutritional quality is the highest. It can be used for grazing, hay-making and silage.
