SOURVELD MIX
Sourveldt Mix is a six grass species mix consisting of Wool grass, Couch grass, Aries II, MG4, Rhodes grass and Love grass. It is a perennial mixture of sourveld grasses that are ideal for soil types with a low pH (between 3.5 and 5). Some of the benefits of the Sourveld Mix are; high cold and drought tolerance; good digestibility and palatability; Rhodes grass is salt and aluminum tolerant; Wool grass can grow on infertile soils and is tolerant to low levels of phosphorus; MG-4, Couch and Love grass have very low demands in soil fertility and can grow in almost all soil types. The Sourveld Mix is suitable for Game, Sheep, Goats and Cattle. It can be used for direct grazing and hay-making.

Aries II
Aries II is a perennial forage grass with decumbent tussocks, great tillering capacity, narrow hairless leaves and a light green color. The main characteristic of this cultivar is its regrowth capacity after grazing. It is very well received by beef cattle, horses, sheep and goats.

Couch grass
Couch grass is a perennial grass, forming thick mats by means of stolons and rhizomes. Although it is partial to warm climates, it is very adaptable and thrives in almost all soil types. It provides good grazing and helps to prevent soil erosion.

MG-4
MG-4 is a perennial tropical grass with very low demands in soil fertility. It has a good production of dry matter. Its management is simpler than that of MG 5, but it tends to have a smaller yield. It is suitable for beef and dairy cattle. It is not consumed by horses. It is resistant to cold weather with a good and fast regrowth after the event.

Rhodes grass
Rhodes grass is a hardy, evergreen tufted perennial grass used to restore soil structure and improve organic matter levels. It can effectively out-compete and smother weeds. It develops good ground cover and effectively mitigates soil erosion once established.

Love grass
Love grass a.k.a Oulandsgrass is a tufted perennial summer grass that is very hardy. It is cold and drought tolerant. It has excellent grazing potential for domestic animals. It grows in well-drained, acid soils with a pH of 4.5 to 7.

Wool grass
Wool grass a.k.a Bottle brush grass is a perennial, tufted grass with a single inflorescence. It is very palatable and is sought after by domestic animals and wildlife alike. It is very drought resistant. It can grow on infertile soils and is tolerant to low levels of phosphorus.
